License plate cameras are security systems designed to capture images of vehicle license plates, whether the vehicles are stationary or in motion. Some applications that License plate cameras can be used are in neighborhoods, downtown traffic areas, city streets, parking garages, storage facilities and in condo associations. When choosing your license plate camera, it is important to note that there are LPR (license plate recognition) cameras and LPC (license plate capture) cameras, the LPR will allow for a database whereas the LPC will only capture plates. Certain LPR / LPC cameras can tie into an NVR/DVR and database for easy AI search and playback, this will need to be confirmed before making your selection.
