IC Realtime PWR-POE-8-V3
Specifications
IC Realtime - PWR-POE-8-V3 - 8-Port Unmanaged PoE Switch
If you are installing a network switch for POE cameras, IC
Realtime’s new PWR-POE-8-V3 is, without a doubt, one of the best network camera
integration solutions we have ever offered. This POE switch has the features
and capacity to make it any camera integrator’s first choice where a remote POE
switch is required.
Don’t let PWR-POE-8-V3’s compact 7.5” x 4” x 1.25” size fool
you. With a total of 96 watts of POE power, it can power up to 8 cameras and
drive POE power over 800 feet to reach remote camera locations. The red
highlighted Port 1 can even provide up to 90 watts of High POE (802.3bt) for a
power-hungry PTZ camera.
We all know POE cameras can freeze up or drop out from power
blips or other random reasons, resulting in unhappy users or a service call for
a simple camera reset/reboot. PWR-POE-8-V3 reduces or eliminates this annoying
issue with 2 features that will both intelligently monitor attached cameras
& adjust for power fluctuations to prevent camera power issues, and
automatically attempt to reboot any unresponsive cameras.
Avoiding datastream choke points between IP cameras &
the NVR means smoother streaming and the capacity to dependably use greater
resolution cameras with higher streaming rates. While the 8 10/100 Mbps (PoE)
camera ports can assure solid camera-to-switch rates, to speed the rest of the
route to the network & back to the NVR, the new PWR-POE-8-V3 has dual
10/100/1000 Mbps uplink ports to double thruput. Both ports can also be set by
DIP switch to an extended mode for greater range (but at a lower speed) when
needed.
Is IC Realtime’s new PWR-POE-8-V3 just another 8 port POE
switch? Far from it. This switch is optimized for IP cameras. In fact,
PWR-POE-8-V3’s power & camera management features alone could justify
upgrading working 8 port POE switches to a new PWR-POE-8-V3 on a distant or
power problem-prone installation.
