A few years ago, when 4MP was the real-world practical limit for security cameras, our engineers went bigger - all the way up to 12MP with our IPEL-B12V-IRW1. Now, our 3rd generation of one of the world’s highest-resolution security cameras has arrived. Just like the previous models, the 3rd generation IPEL-B12V-IRW3 is a 4K UHD ultra-high resolution, 12MP IP bullet camera with the frankly extreme 4000×3000 pixel count, power zoom lens, and built-in FlexSmartAi detection, metadata, image & stream management capabilities that make it the most advanced IP bullet camera we have ever produced.

 12 MILLION PIXELS IS JUST THE START

Beyond the 12MP video resolution enabled by this video sensor’s massive field of pixels, the B12V has also gained the best low-light Starlight color performance possible. Most STARVIS™ and Starlight low-light cameras stay color down to a respectable 0.005 to 0.001 lux - the equivalent of a moonless night. With 12 million light-gathering pixels, the IPEL-B12V has the pixel density to stream in color down to ambient light levels of 0.0009 lux - as close to complete darkness as possible. After that - for areas like closed buildings, under trees, or canopies at night - the camera lights up its 197 feet of SmartIR for unbelievably detailed grayscale imaging. And the IPEL-B12V’s customizable output resolution has a broader range than any camera we make, from the full 12MP in steps down thru 8MP (4K) to whatever level is required for recorder or VMS compatibility, and of course, it’s HTML5 and ONVIF (Profile S/Profile G/Profile T); CGI compatible.  When added to the camera’s autofocusing 2.7 - 12mm power zoom lens, There’s no higher resolution or a more flexible way to overwatch an area 24/7 than IPEL-B12V-IRW3.

IC Realtime has been using our FlexSmartAi cameras & recorders for years that use AI “behind the scenes” to eliminate false alerts, clarify video & stream it faster. In fact, our industry-famous H.265+ lossless video compression depends on AI and was among the first in the video security business. But our new IPEL-B12V has taken Artificial Intelligence forward into a whole new world of recognition & analytical capability. At 12MP the depth & detail of each frame and the field of “datapoints” they enable is ideal for facial recognition. There are far too many capabilities to list here, but here’s a sample: parking space management, metadata-based flow statistics for people, motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles, face detection & recognition with snapshots & snapshot optimization, LPR/ANPR that recognizes plate numbers at speeds of up to 37 MPH (60km/h) that supports a 10,000 entry blocklist and allowlist database... you get the idea. And the IPEL-B12V-IRW3’s frame-by-frame metadata stream records along with the video stream on our newest Object Search AI NVRs for simple “select & search” cross-camera AI queries that locate every instance of the search object on every metadata camera channel on the NVR. This capability once demanded off-site cloud-based servers. Now it’s built in.

Co-located on the camera pigtail with the camera's RJ-45 (10/100/1000 Base-T) network jack are audio in & out, three alarm in/2 alarm out ports, local power connectors, and a ladder-climb saving analog video port with a detachable BNC pigtail as an installation/tester port. Mounting options like screwdriver-fit weatherproof & color-matched junction boxes, wall, ceiling, and pole mounts are all available. The B12V has a built-in 256 MB mSD card slot for local video storage and a 12VDC output port for external power needs.
